NY Fashion Week- PRABAL GURUNG SPRING 2012

It seems that new wonder kid designer Prabel Gurung can do no wrong. His spring collection contained a vast kaleidoscope of violet floral, Rorschach-esque dresses with sexy cutouts and sheer fabrics . Airy and ethereal silhouettes juxtaposed heavier corset details and bold metallic geometric forms. Gurung showcases his mad tailoring skills with fitted jackets,complete with sculpted shoulders and a graphic white faille lapel. Overall, the collection is bold and ambitious, and the applause for Gurung at the finale suggests he's been pegged as New York's hottest young designer.

All Saints Spitalfields

Ever since my recent trip to London, I have been slightly obsessed with All Saints. Since I cannot get my fix here (why, oh, why is there not an All Saints in Toronto?!) I have been checking out the online store, which thankfully, has shipping from the U.S locations. The F/W 2011 lookbook is gorgeous - rocker grunge but still edgy and elegant.
My faves are the Emb Python sequined dress, Elben cropped leather pants ,Lendra coat and the Rodan dress.
