Lover and Australian Ballet Dancer Amber Scott

photo:portable television

With ballet inspiring all the runways ( Chloe) and red carpets this season, it's refreshing to find a label that actually uses real ballerinas in their campaign. Introducing Lover the label, and featured in the video is my beautiful friend Amber Scott from the Australian Ballet. The Australian label was created in 2001 by designers Susien Chong and Nic Briand. Lover has risen in Australia and internationally, developing a cult and celebrity following with actresses such as Claire Danes, brit it-girl Alexa Chung and Keira Knightly.

Lover actually began in Sydney at the Bondi Market. Chong's vintage style clothing attracted many customers, and about three months after the stalls birth boutiques began requesting Lover stock.

The collections all draw upon various inspirations of romance, vintage and rock and roll. The label has received coverage in Vogue, Teen Vogue, WWD and Harpers Bazaar to name a few, and in 2005 collaborated with Levi in the "Lover Loves Levis" denim collection.

Lover is available online at Shopbop.

I think I'm in love with Lover.
